Lisa and her husband Brian have been married for 22 years.  Brian is a fourth-generation Valley farmer.  Lisa hails from Mississippi but moved to Texas at the age of 11.  After graduating from McAllen High School, she attended UTPA.  Brian graduated from Weslaco High School and attended Texas A&M.  They are immensely proud of their two children. Trace received a call from God to ministry during his junior year of high school, and presently is a senior at Dallas Baptist University. He plans to attend Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth this fall.  Trina is a senior at BETA in Edinburg where she excels in academics, friendships, journalism, and education track classes. She will attend Texas A&M in the fall and plans to major in Special Education.

Lisa has served on the BT staff as Women’s Minister for 7 ½ years, but she has been at BT since she was a junior in high school when her parents were a part of a group who started the church.  Both she and Brian have volunteered in various capacities for many years.  As Women’s Minister, her heart is for women to discover their true and complete identity in Christ.  She believes strongly in the power of God’s Word to bring freedom and the abundant life.  Her passion is to teach others how to discover and unleash that power in their own lives as they study and apply God’s Word.
