3 Pillars

Here at BT we have 3 pillars that we stand by.

1 | Biblical teaching which Trev brings every week [and mid week!]. One of my favorite series since moving here has been the series we have been walking through on Wednesday "Angels and Demons." I have never learned so much at any 1 time then I am right now and it is amazing.

2 | Relevant worship we have the honor to be apart of every week as well. Job leads our worship band through praise and worship in great ways. From my vantage point it is just remarkable to see thousands of people ever week worship freely to our amazing God.

3 | A global concern has began to make a huge impact to me [and not just because I married an MK]. We have been planning a trip for awhile now over to Africa that I will have the honor of going on. The trip has a few goals, 1 of my personal goals is to bring back the story of what is going on over there in a creative way in which people who have not gone over feel like they have been there in person. Taking stories thousands of miles away and having them feel personal. Our church in general does a great job not just putting missions in the back 40 but up front in what we do as a church.

I say all that to say that BT is a great place to be and now we have the opportunity to add to a global concern by streaming our services online every week. We have a person over in Germany at a military base that has been watching for a little while; and now we have 2 people at that base in Germany watching us today live. We have a couple thousand people every month watching what God is doing through BT not just from the US but from Russia, Germany, Italy, Iran, Egypt, Australia, Spain, Portugal, Brazil and the list goes on! It blows me away to see how, not on us, but God is using BT to spread what He is doing in dynamic ways week in and week out. What a great place to be.

listening

During todays service I saw things work effortlessly, transitions between elements of the service flowed seamlessly. A few major parts of our service didn't go as planned [our plans on paper] but instead went according to Gods plan. We saw the Holy Spirit working through us in an amazing way and even though we had no communication from the back to the stage, everyone was on the same page.

Its awesome to have the opportunity to sit in the back and see how God works through us into other lives and all we have to do is listen in those moments and let Him take control. Thanks for worshipping with us!

Project Assegai

It's been a great week as we have been pulling everything together for our new project over in Kenya. The vision that God has given the leaders of BT is amazing to see. When Trev landed in McAllen last Saturday night, he knew that he had to share what he had just experienced in Kenya. As we continue to support and fund this school in Kenya it continues to show to me how important reaching out, not only locally but internationally, really is to the Christian body. I pray that the images and video that we take over there can really speak to your heart. As we take trips over to Kenya next year we will be updating the facebook page for Project Assegai along with stories that we receive throughout the year.

What is worship?

God alone is worthy of our worship. “For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.” (1 Chronicles 16:25)

Feel free to add your comments and share, what is worship?
